A Thanksgiving Prayer

After such a tumultuous year in the news, I wrote this prayer for all families in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday. My heart goes out to all who suffered a loss, need healing, were divided by politics or other events this year. May these words provide comfort and hope.

A Thanksgiving Prayer

May Your love be stronger than the pain,
may Your sun shine brighter than the rain.
Guard our words while we gather together,
remind us to find joy regardless of the weather.
Fill our homes with peace and laughter,
may we remember Your love shines forever after.
In the midst of a world filled with hate and fear,
remind us we are among friends and family here.
Help us to mend our broken hearts,
and stave hateful words that could tear us apart.
We ask Your joy be with us this fall,
as we gather in thanksgiving come one, come all.

Hi there! I’m Katherine, a former higher education professional turned housewife, blogger and entrepreneur. My blog is about finding happily ever after in the middle of the mundane, using gratitude and a positive mindset to turn the ordinary into extraordinary. I like to tell stories, so this is a collection of short stories, some true, some fiction, to hopefully inspire more happiness in this broken world.
