A spark is born. You get inspired by a great idea or purpose and want to move full steam ahead. You’re excited, energized, and pumped. Are We There Yet?

When I find a solution to a problem I’ve been chewing on, I’m like a kid in a candy store. I get all excited, grab my money bag and am ready to check out and get a tummy ache on gummy bears! How about those problems that can only be solved with patience and time. Ugh. I hate those kind. Don’t we all? We’d love a quick fix to everything, right? Call the doctor. Get a pill. Feel better. The Unsolvable Riddle
An innate problem-solver, I tend to believe there’s a solution to every problem. All I need to do is find it. I get the most frustrated when I come across those pesky unsolvable problems. After all, don’t they say the definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over again expecting different results? The saying should go more like, Continue reading “Try Try Try Again … Wait, What?”
Keys to a Problem-Solving Mindset
There’s no questioning that problems cause some level of unhappiness in all of us. However, I challenge you to question whether it’s the problem that’s the issue, or your mindset about the problem. When presented with a brick wall, what do you do? Do you grab a chair, look for a box of tissues and an audience to cry about your brick wall to? Or, do you look for a sledge hammer, a climbing rope, a ladder, a shovel, or start walking alongside it until you find an opening? Whatever you do, you need the right tools for the job. This starts Continue reading “Keys to a Problem-Solving Mindset”
